Midtown Improvement District Annual Meeting Connects with Community on Goals for Midtown Boroughs

The Midtown Improvement District staff the Board of Trustees were honored to host the Midtown Improvement District Annual Meeting on June 28 hosted at Half-Price Books.

The presentation provided an update on the completed renewal of the District to 2033, including the presentation of the new District map that will be official beginning in 2023 that encompasses the Midtown Park, Upper Greenville, Midtown Medical District, The Shops at Park Lane and Vickery Midtown boroughs.

Interim Executive Director Nick Palles introduced new Midtown Improvement District Executive Director Chad Cornelison to the community.

Dallas City Councilmember Gay Donnell Willis was in attendance and updated the community on various City of Dallas initiatives in public safety.   She also reported on her management and advocacy for the District on complete street projects on Holly Hill and Phoenix, and the forecast for forthcoming improvements on Ridgecrest. 

Midtown Improvement District Board President Ted Palles also updated the community on strategic planning, financials and the District’s Midtown Mobility Study to determine priorities for investment in transportation infrastructure improvements.    Midtown Board of Trustee member Don Bouvier also briefed attendees on the designs in development for trailheads at the SoPac Trail, creating more functional destination locations for the wonderful amenity of the Trail in our District.
