Spring Clean – A project that is held yearly in the early part of Spring to help clean up the neighborhood. Volunteers from the community come together to pick up trash, plant flowers and paint over graffiti. A community cookout is held after the event for the participants.

Easter Egg Hunt – An annual event held on the weekend before Easter weekend at Fair Oaks Park. Many neighborhood children take part in an egg hunt, games, face painting, snacks and prizes. The children also have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. This is always an EGG-citing event to participate in.

Heart Beat 5K Run – An annual fundraiser scheduled in May, hosted by Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. All proceeds go to initiatives in the Vickery Meadow Community.

National Night Out – A world wide event designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships as well as send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. This event is celebrated on the first Tuesday in August every year. In Vickery Meadow, we celebrate with a parade through the community followed by a park celebration of live music, games, prizes, food, drinks and much more.
